- 英文摘要: Three cardiotoxins have been isolated and purified from the venom of Bungarus fasciatus and their pharmacological characterization has been reported. The major cardiotoxin (Fraction vi) consists of 118 amino acids. The complete amino acid sequence was determined as follows. The native toxin was reduced and carboxymethylated (RCM-Toxin). RCM-Toxin was digested with trypsin, and tryptic peptides were isolated and purified by ion-exchange chromatography, gel filtration or by chromatography and electrophoresis on paper. RCM-Toxin and all tryptic peptides were sequenced either by automatic sequencer or by manual Edman degradation procedures. The alignment of tryptic peptides was established by the analysis of tryptic peptides of maleylated RCM-toxin and chymotryptic peptides of RCM-toxin. The native toxin consists of a single peptide chain of 118 amino acid residues intramolecularly linked by 6 disulfide bonds. This is a new . type of cardiotoxin consisting of 118 amino acids instead of 60.
