- 中文摘要: 本文曾選出綠膿桿菌菌株PA-103製備各種抗原,包括內毒素、黏質及外毒素,分別以小白鼠及雞胎細胞培養作毒性試驗,結果顯示內毒素之毒性低,外毒素(純化物)之毒性比黏質抗原高百倍以上。利用各種抗原注射家兔可製備各種抗血清。以強有力之外毒素製出之抗毒血清或免疫球蛋白,對同型外毒素有高度之中和作用,但未能中和內毒素或黏質抗原。將此種抗毒血清注入小白鼠腹腔內,對於抗原性有關之綠膿桿菌傳染有程度不同之保護作用,唯有對同型菌株才有高度之完全保護作用。對於異型菌株所顯示之保護作用,端賴其對抗細菌之抗原性相類似之程度而決定。以上結果表示綠膿桿菌之外毒素似為其致病性之重要因素。
- 英文摘要: Exotoxin, endotoxin and slime substance ofspecial strain of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, PA-103, were prepared for study. Toxicity of suchpreparations was tested by mice and tissue cul-ture cells of chicken embryo, and LD5o orTCID5o was calculated. Endotoxin was low toxic.Toxicity of exotoxin was 100 times more thanslime substance. Antiserum was prepared inrabbits against these preparations. Titers ofantitoxic serum or gamma-globulin preparedagainst homologous exotoxin tended to be high,and one ml. of antitoxic serum usually reachedabout 500 units. Neither endotoxin nor slimesubstance was neutralized with antitoxic serumproduced with exotoxin. A various degree ofpassive protection against Ps. aeruginosa infec-tion could also be induced by injecting intomice antitoxic serum prepared in rabbits withthe exotoxin. Complete protection could be de-monstrated to the homologous strain. The degreeof protection toward the heterologous strainswas dependent on the antigenic similarity ofchallenge bacteria. The findings seemed to in-dicate that the exotoxin was one of the impor-tant factors in the pathogenesis of pseudomonasinfections.
