雌雄異體毛黴菌之不同交配型有關?類之生合成

以毛徽菌之兩種不同交配型研究?菌性?與類固醇轉移代謝之關係。 由紫外光和可視光光譜,紅外光譜、薄層色層分析及氣體色層分析研究知,各個交配型毛黴菌菌絲體類固醇主要以麥角固醇?主,而類胡蘿蔔素主要以β —胡蘿蔔素?主。而次要之類固醇類有ergostatetraene , ergostapentaene和er-gostahexaene。以可視光吸光度?定量地指標得知在(+)交配型其菌絲體總類胡蘿蔔素含量比(-)交配型高甚多,而 菌絲體總類固醇類含量之差異則不甚顯著。又各別類固醇類之相對含量則視毛黴菌之交配型而定。(-)交配型之麥角固 醇含量與ergosta-5,7-dien-3β-ol含量之比?比(+)交配型大而(+)交配型之ergostahexaene含量則比(-) 交配型高2倍。由上可知,毛黴菌之(+)交配型與(-)交配型之類固醇轉移速度有所不同。

Two strains of Mucor hiemalis were used to investigate the relationship between fungal sexuality and steroid transformation metabolism. From studies of uv, visible, infrared and mass spectra, and thin-layer and gas chromatograms, it was found that the principle steroids of the mycelial mats of each mating type of M. hiemalis were ergosterol and ergosta-5, 7-dien-3β-ol. The principle carotenoid was found to be β-carotene. The minor steroid components were ergostatetraene, ergostapentaene and ergostahexaene. Quantitative determination by visible absorption spectra showed that the total amount of mycelial carotenoids in the (+) mating strain was significantly greater than that in the (-) mating strain. The difference in total mycelial steroid content between mating strains was less significant. The relative amounts of individual steroids, however, did differ between mating types of M. hiemalis. The (-) strain had a larger ratio of ergosterol to ergosta-5,7-dien-3β-ol than did the (+) strain, while the latter had twice as much ergostahexaene as did the former. It is safe to conclude that there is a definite difference between the (+) and the (-) strain of M. hiemalis in the transformation rate of steroid.
