Synthesis of peracetic acid was studied with the operation conditions,
temperature from -10.0 to 34.0℃, concentration of acetaldehyde from 3.0 to
20.0 volume %, oxygen flow rate from 90 to 100 ml/min.
Cobalt acetate and Feric nitrate were used as catalyst. The results indicated
that the effects of solvents on the yield of peracetic acid were fairly important.
Increasing temperature decreased the yield of peracetic acid. The yield of peracetic
acid increased with the concentration of catalyst when the reactions were kinetic
control. However, the yield slightly decreased with increasing of catalyst concen-
tration when the reactions were mass transfer control. The optimal yield of
peracetic acid was obtained at 6.5 volume percent of acetaldehyde in charge. - 中文關鍵字: --
