- 英文摘要: Controllability of a nonlinear high-purity distillation column using linear control algorithms is addressed in this paper. A multivariable controller, in the form of full PI, is found to be highly effective in maintaining tight control of both end products of a simulated binary distillation column. Uncertainty estimation and subsequent design of robustly stable diagonal and full PI controllers are presented in detail. Due to the fact that the proposed control algorithm retains the fundamental characteristics of a linear controller structure, it can easily be designed and analyzed with available linear robustness techniques. It is believed that full PI controller can provide an attractive alternative in nonlinear process control over sophisticated nonlinear control laws.
