The effect of vibration on particles produced by the breakup of a double
layer coaxial liquid jet was investigated. Kerosene and sodium alginate solution
were used as the liquids for the inner and outer layers of the jet. After the jet
broke up, the droplets fell into calcium chloride solution and were solidified to
form particles of kerosene capsuled inside a thin film. When a double layer jet
was vibrated, the particles formed were more uniform in radius when compared
with that without vibration. The choice of frequency was more limited when
compared with the case of vibrating a single jet. - 英文摘要:
