- 中文摘要: Strategic use of information technology (IT) is a key factor for gaining competitive advantage at current business environment. However, the business organizations with different characteristics will have different requirements for IT applications and certainly, the managerial roles for CIO will be different. Hence, how to choose an appropriate CIO who can play these roles successfully is very important for business organizations to gain competitive advantage. The above discussion involves two-fold. The first is to identify the degree of IT requirements based on strategic perspectives and then specify the managerial roles of CIO. The second is to choose the person with appropriate personality traits in order to play these roles successfully, that is, there is no roles conflict. Previous research has not discussed these matters much and not to say, the integration perspectives. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to present a CIO recruiting model based on strategic perspectives. Also, an empirical study is implemented to understand what is the practice in business organization. Finally, this model and results expect to serve as a reference frame for business organizations to hire an appropriate CIO.
- 英文摘要: 在競爭激烈的環境中,資訊科技策略性應用,已是現今企業體取得競爭利益之關鍵因素,而企業體會因本身特性之不同而有不同的應用層面,其資訊主管被賦與之管理者角色也不盡相同,因此如何選擇適任的資訊主管使其角色扮演成功,以協助組織獲取最大利益,實在是當務之急。這其中牽涉到兩部分的問題,第一部分是以策略的角度探討企業體界定其對資訊科技之需求程度,因而決定資訊主管的角色需求,第二部分是針對企業體對資訊主管的角色需求,應該選用具有何種人格特質的人選,才能把此種角色扮演好,而不會造成角色衝突。由於過去文獻並未有類似此兩部分之研究,更未有以整合觀點所做的研究。因此,本研究整合此兩部分的觀點,提出一個以資訊科技支援組織策略為考量的資訊主管人員任用模式,並藉由實證的方式來驗證此任用模式在企業組織的實際運用狀況,以做為企業組織在選擇一位適任的資訊主管之參考。
