周邊11個測站均檢測到類異半?烷類之成熟信號,這確實地證明整個研究區域都含有化石烴類。
F - 英文摘要: Thirty-three samples of marine sediments from off the southwestern coast of Taiwan have beenanalyzed chromatographically for hydrocarbons. Total contents of n-alkanes range from 337 to 3767 ng/gwith a mean of 2019 ng/g, which is the highest among the coastal areas of Taiwan. Carbon preference in-dices(C -C )vary from 1.3 to 4.4 with an average of 1.8; these low CPIs indicate that land-derivedorganic matter doesn't play a major role. In addition, there are rather high levels of both pristane andphytane - 88 ng/g (mean) and 27 ng/g (mean), respectively-suggesting inputs of fossil hydrocarbons.Total aromatic hydrocarbons range in concentration from 0.49 to 12.57 g/g having an average of 1.95 g/g, the highest value found at the station nearest to Kaohsiung Harbor can be attributed to heavy tankertraffic and operations, other ship traffic, and industrial activities. The distribution pattern of aromatichydrocarbons is discussed. Maturity markers of acyclic isoprenoid alkanes have been detected at elevenstations along the periphery of the study area; this conclusively demonstrates the presence of fossil hydro-carbons in the whole area.
