菲律賓海板體之表面波研究

Both the multiple-filter technique and the display-equalized filter method were used to measure the group and phase velocities along twelve Rayleigh- and five Love-wave paths, which lie almost entirely within the Philippine Sea Plate. By examining the dispersion characteristics of paths across various portions of this plate, only a slightly regional variation in structure might be expected or none at all. If this slightly regional variation exists, the Philippine Sea Plate would rather be divided into two regions, i.e. the ridge and the basin. The pure-path method was applied to compute the regionalized group and phase velocities, and these data were used to derive structural models of the crust and upper mantle for each region. The results show that a very thin lid (about 10 km thick) with high shear velocity overlies the soft low-velocity mantle throughout the whole plate.
