- 英文摘要: The preparation and reactions of norbornadiene dimers and their related compounds are summarized.Nine of the fourteen isomers are commonly observed in transition metal catalyzed procedures whichinclude three (1-3) out of the six [2+2] dimers, all of the four [4+2] dimers (7-10), and two out of thefour [4+4] dimers (12 and 13). The other two [4+4] dimers (11 and 14) are prepared by conventionalsynthetic methods. The three cis-fused [2+2] dimers (4-6) are not yet known due to their severe strains,and their structures are estimated to be the most unstable ones. The thermodynamic parameters of thedimers are calculated by both the force field method MM2 and the semiempirical method MNDO. The dimers have been utilized in the preparation of certain organic compounds, such as diamantaneand triamantane derivatives as well as some cage-shaped polycyclic hydrocarbons, etc. Besides the fourteenstandard geometries of dimerization, norbornadiene moieties can be linked together in other ways to formdimeric homologues. Recent advances in structural modification of the dimers and their related reactionsare described in this report.
