- 中文摘要: 本論文提出有關方塊圖形辨認的新式研究方法,中國文字為其顯著例子。由甚多的樣本圖形做成一種隨機方格圖表,以此表做為基本比較被辨認圖形而加以確定,但後者亦須利用相同方法製成隨機方格圖表。在方格圖表的橫行上分成甚多分域,本文的辨認演算就是算出相關分域內兩者的筆劃出現概率差之絕對值,由此等絕對值的總和求其辨認損失。當然損失小者,其辨認率是精確的。 本文所使用的數學演算法和普通者相異,取名之謂「四角陣法」。此種馬可夫動態規劃法利用電子計算機做中文辨認之實際應用,應該算之為一種新穎試嘗。 有關課目:標型辨認,動態規畫法,方格圖表法,形態指示等。
- 英文摘要: This paper presents a new approach to the recognition of a block picture, (for example,a Chinese character) by comparing it with stochastic sectionalgrams obtained by groupingmany samples. In order to calculate the risk we sum up the absolute value of the differencesbetween the stroke-occurrence probabilities of corresponding quanta in the two sectionalgrams,one of these two sectionalgrams being derived from the input pattern and the other fromthe prototype pattern. The smaller the sum of these differences is, the more accurate theinput pattern can be recognized. The mathematical algorithm used in this paper is Quadrix method which is differentfrom the ordinary ones. Moreover, the practical application to Chinese character recognitionby means of Markovian dynamic programming with a computer is also discussed for thefirst time, although an outline was given in MA [1], [2], and [3].
