綠藻對於三種不同內分泌狀況之腦下腺切除鼠之影響

有完整腦下腺之正常未成熟雄鼠(34-38日齡),飼以添加8%綠藻粉之台糖小雞用飼料與飼以未添加綠藻粉之飼料相比,則飼以前者之老鼠其生長之改善比飼以後者之老鼠為佳。綠藻雖可改善正常鼠之生長,但對於腦下腺切除鼠之生長則未見有改善,換言之,綠藻對於促進動物生長非依賴完整腦下腺傳遞則不為功。 再者,綠藻對於接受甲狀腺荷爾蒙注射之腦下腺切除鼠也未見有改善其生長,此結果顯示,綠藻並不能加強甲狀腺荷爾蒙對於腦下腺切除鼠生長之促進作用,又,綠藻對於接受甲狀腺荷爾蒙注射之腎皮囊內移植有腦下腺前葉之腦下腺切除鼠,也無法改善其生長,此結果表示,綠藻不能加強由甲狀腺荷爾蒙注射而引致腦下腺移植片所分泌生長荷爾蒙及催乳荷爾蒙,對於促進腦下腺切除鼠生長之作用。

Immature male rats with intact pituitary glands, hypophysectomized male rats, hypophysectomizedmale rats with supplements of ,and hypophysectomized male rats with a pituitary grafts under thekidney capsule supplemented with ,were subdivided in two groups respectively: One was given Taitungchicken diet with the addition of 8% dry chlorella powder, the other given Taitung chicken diet only. Inthe intact rats, chlorella-feeding group exhibited better growth rate than the control group without additionof chlorella, while regardless of which type of hypophysectomized rats, chlorella did not promote growth.The present study indicated that the body growth-promoting effect of chlorella must be mediated by thepituitary gland, and chlorella did not show the augumentative action of on body growth.
