鳳梨葉之製漿造紙試驗

本省鳳梨耕作面積約為一萬五千公頃,每年廢棄於農地之鳳梨葉相當多,但均未加以利用。本實驗之目的,係利用鳳梨葉為紙漿原料,從事各種紙漿製造試驗,並探討其利用價值。茲將試驗結果歸納如下: 1. 鳳梨葉含水率極高,且不便於乾燥和運輸,因此,必須在鳳梨園內利用機械採取鳳梨麻,而將無纖維之葉渣棄於農地,才合乎經濟與實用。 2. 鳳梨葉纖維之長度與針葉樹纖維相當,而纖維寬度僅針葉樹纖維之六分之一。 3. 鳳梨麻之木質素含量低於 6%,而全纖維素則高達 90%。 4. 鳳梨麻很容易蒸解,化學紙漿之收率可達 75% 以上,而且高錳酸鉀質價在 7 以下。 5. 紙漿容易漂白,以少量之漂白劑行單段漂白時,紙漿白度可達 85% 以上。 6. 紙漿之力學性質優良,特別是撕力比約為一般針葉樹紙漿之三倍。 7. 紙漿品質優良,適合製造宣紙鈔票紙及其他特殊用途。

The plantation area of pineapple inTaiwan is around 15,000 hectares. There areno further utilizations of pineapple leaf.Therefore, the purpose of this experiment istrying to use those pineapple leaves as rawmaterial for pulping and then trying to findout any possible utilizations. The results obtained by this experimentare as the following:1. The pineapple leaf has several special properties: high moisture content, not easy drying and transportation. For eco- nomic consideration, those pineapple leaves should turn to be pineapple hemp first by mechanical method and leave those non-fiberous material in the field.2. The fiber length of pineapple leaf is re- latively equal to coniferous wood fiber. The fiber width is only one-sixth of coniferous wood fiber.3. The lignin content of pineapple hemp is less than 6%, but its holocellulose content is more than 90%.4· The pineapple hemp is easy for cooking. The yield is quite high (above 75%) in chemical pulping process. The perman- ganate No. of pineapple hemp pulp is below 7.5. This pulp is easy for bleaching. In single- stage bleaching process, only needed small amount of bleaching agents could get the bleaching brightness higher than 85%.6. The mechanical properties of this pulp are quite good, especially in tear factor which is around 3 times higher than coniferous wood fiber.7. The quality of this pulp is excellent and could be used for some special purposes such as bank note paper.
