眼球摘除對倉鼠松果腺內乙醯膽鹼?之影響

本論文係摘除眼球八星期後之雄性倉鼠或同時摘除眼球及頸上神經節以及正常倉鼠之松果腺以定量法及超微細組織
化學法研究之結果。摘除眼球後倉鼠之睪丸顯著地退化,但同時摘除眼球及頸上神經節後倉鼠之睪丸則呈現無退化現象
。此表示由黑暗所引起之睪丸退化現象可經由摘除頸上神經節來防止之。摘除眼球後之倉鼠,其松果腺內所含乙醯膽鹼
醇之定量值增加,如以電子顯微鏡觀察時此?在松果腺細胞內平滑內質網膜之反應濃度也增高。由本研究結果也許可認
為倉鼠松果腺之作用會受到腺內乙醯鹼?之影響。

Pineal glands of male hamsters 8 weeks after removal of both eyes or blinding plus bilateral superiorcervical ganglionectomy and those of untreated animals were studied by biochemical and ultrahistochemicalenzyme techniques. In the blinded hamsters the testes were remarkably involuted, whereas in the blindedplus ganglionectomized hamsters no significant change of testicular weight was obtained. These findingssuggested that the dark-induced degenerative change of testes was prevented by removal of bilateral cervicalganglia. In the blinded hamsters the quantitative value of acetylcholinesterase activity was increased; ul-trastructurally the density of the enzyme reaction product located on the membranes of smooth-surfacedendoplasmic reticulum in the pinealocytes was also increased. On the basis of the present findings togetherwith those of the previous data, it may be concluded that the testicular regression in the blinded hamstersis due to the increased ACNE, acetylcholine, and HIOM within the pineals, then the acetylcholine andHIOM stimulate the pineals to synthesize more antigonadal substance, the melatonin.
