年老及年輕雄鼠長時間及短時間內的食量調節

一、年老雄鼠及年輕雄鼠的每日食量均和體重成正比,彼此間也沒有差別,但年老雄鼠的攝食行為較年輕雄鼠更趨於夜間 進食。二、改訂攝食時間,限制在晝間七小時內進食後,年老雄鼠的食量雖然比得上年輕雄鼠的食量,但不足以維持其體重的平 衡。三、在自由攝食的情形下,處理葡萄糖,2-去氧葡萄糖以及其他會影響攝食的因素時,在年老雄鼠和年輕雄鼠所引起的 攝食反應近乎一樣。四·將等量的2-去氧葡萄糖溶液灌食或腹腔注射皆引起促進攝食反應,但直接注入靜脈卻無效。五、腦視前區及腹內側下視丘組織對經頸動脈注入的氚化2-去氧葡萄糖的攝取彼此間無明顯的差別。 結果說明年老雄鼠長時間的食量調節機能已部分受損,但每天短時間的食量調節仍良好。同時就攝食反應上來看,周 圍組織裡的糖量感受器較中樞性的糖量感受器更具重要性。

The long-term and short-term regulation of food intake was examined in both old and young rats, eitherunder food restriction or on an ad lib feeding condition. The daily food intake was proportional to the rats'body weight and there was no significant difference between old rats and young rats. The diurnal variation offood intake was 1persistentland more distinct in the old rats.During long-term limitation of feeding time, theamount of food intake of old rats was not enough to maintain their body weight. On an ad lib feeding condi-tion, both old and young rats showed nearly the same type of change in feeding response to treatments withglucose, 2-deoxy-D-glucose (2-DG) or to other substances that can affect feeding. The intraperitoneal injectionof 2-DG was more potent in stimulating eating than an equivalent amount of 2-DG injected into the stomach.Direct injection of 2-DG into the general circulatory system had no effect at all. The intake of radioactive H-2-DG injected arterially was found to be about the same in the preoptic area as in the medial basalhypothalamic area. These results indicate that the long-term regulation of food intake in the old ratgis partial-ly impaired. However, short-term regulation of food intake in a day (24 hours) is still good. It may also benoted that the peripheral glucoreceptors play a more important role in the control of feeding than the centralglucoreceptors do.
