- 中文摘要: The duct flow of Binghma plastic fluids is analyzed using the variational inequality based finiteelement method. The problem of tracking the yield surface is solvable using the regularization technique in combination with an adaptive scheme which can be easily incorporated into the existing finite element code. The second invariant of the shear rate tensor may be used for local error estimation in finite element analysis. However, the second invariant will undergo a discontinuity at the plug boundary, as a result of the imposition of the von Mises’ yield criterion. The ensuing error will always be sensed during the iterative process. Unless we stop refinement according to some global error measures, it will go on forever. In this paper, we present the appropriate refinement indicators and refinement strategies which allow us to overcome these difficulties in the automation of adaptive refinement.
