• 英文摘要： Carbodiimide functionality could be introduced onto the activated silica gel. The reaction of 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane with activated silica gel gave 3-aminopropyl-functionalized silica gel. Thetransformation of amino functionality to urea functionality was achieved by the reaction of aminopropyl-functionalized silica gel with cyclohexylisocyanate. Subsequent dehydration with p-toluenesulfonyl chlo-ride in triethylamine/dichloromethane yielded the expected carbodiimide-functionalized silica gel. Theactive carbodiimide content of the final product was determined by oxalic acid treatment and back-titrationwith sodium hydroxide. Hydrolysis of the carbodiimide with carboxylic acids gave back the urea fromwhich the carbodiimide functionality could be completely regenerated.
