核試放射性落塵的遷移時間

本文是討論從1964至980年在羅布泊(北緯40度,東經90度)舉行核試的放射性殘留物遷移至新竹(北緯24度28分,東經120度58分)的時間。放射性殘留物的試樣是收集空浮微粒或降水與塵埃試樣,並偵測其活性。由於核試彼此之間隔時間達數星期之久,偵測其放射性殘留物的特性及到達時間,來源的確認是沒有問題的。核試威力在2萬噸以下時,核試後第2~6天新竹的地面上可偵測到高活性的落塵。核試威力高於20萬噸級時,核試後第19~21天可再次偵測到高活性落塵。

This paper deals with the travel time of radioactive debris from a series of nuclear testings at Lop
Nor (40?N.,90?E.) to Hsinchu (24? 28'N.,120? 58' E.), Taiwan, Republic of China starting from October
1964 to October 1980. The radioactive debris is sampled by collecting either atmospheric particulates or
rain water and deposited dust, and the experimental procedures are included. The arrival time of radioac-
tive debris is indicated by the detection of the radioactive debris characteristic of the nuclear testings with-
out any problem of source identification due to the testings spaced several weeks from each other. For low
yield(<20 kT) tests the activity can be detected at ground level within 2-6 days at Hsinchu, while for high
yield(>200 kT) tests the activity can be detected twice, and the second arrival usually occurs within 19-21
days.
