- 中文摘要: 本研究旨在藉由比較師院學生的天賦地位與獲致地位間的差異,以瞭解其社會流動與相關因素。本研究以林生傳(1990)所修訂的二因子社經地位評量法來調查臺灣地區964位師範學院學生,並以次數分配及 考驗來進行資料處理與分析。研究結果發現:(1)師院學生的家庭社經地位等級,以來自第四層級者最多;來自第二及第三層級者次之;來自第五層級者復次之;而來自第一層級者最少。(2)近二十年來,將從事小學教師工作的師專生或師院學生之天賦地位雖然以來自第四層級者最多,但來自較低社經背景者(如第四、五層級家庭)有減少之趨勢;而來自較高社經背景者(如第二、三、及第一層級家庭)則有增加之趨勢。(3)師院學生透過從事小學教師乙職,大部分的師院學生將可處於向上社會流動;其次則是處於水平流動;而有處於向下流動者則最少。即在國內透過師範教育進而從事小學教職,至今的確可提供大部分師院學生有向上社會流動之機會,但與葉國安(1978)的研究相比較,本研究中處於水平流動者則有逐漸增加之現象。(4)師院學生的社會流動情形會因其性別及就讀科系之不同而有差異;但不因其就讀學校、年級、公自費別、及任教意願之不同而有差異。最後,根據本研究之發現與結論提出「修正師範生多出生貧寒之觀念」、「透過溝通協調以訂定更適宜的制度」、「建立各師院之特色以招募更多元之學生」、「提供真正貧寒而有能力的學生有擔任教職之機會」等四項建議。
- 英文摘要: The social mobility of the students in Teachers College was studied using the method of investigatingthe difference between the ascribed status and the achieved status of these students. An instrument of "TwoFactor Index of Social Position" modified by Sheng-Chuan Lin was used, and 964 samples in Taiwan weresurveyed. The data were statistically analyzed by frequencies and . Four conclusions of this study aresummarized as follows: (1) Most of the students in teachers college came from the 4th level of social economicstatus (SES). (2)A decrease trend was observed for the lower levels of SES and an increase trend was observedfor the higher levels of SES of teachers college students during the two decades. (3) The social mobility of moststudents in teachers college will be upward if they become elementary school teachers, however the percentageof upward social mobility was lower than that observed in 1978. (4) The social mobility of students dependedupon the gender of student and college department. Four recommendations for the promoting teacherseducation were also suggested.
