- 英文摘要: Unsaturated polyester resins derived from recycled PET bottle are prepared by using of a two-stage process. The first stage is the glycolysis of PET in an excess of diol under high pressure to produce short-chain polyol oligomers. The second stage is the polycondensation of the polyol oligomers with dibasic acid followed by adding styrene monomer diluent to obtain unsaturated polyester resins. The unsaturated polyester/glass fiber FRP laminates are made by combining glass fiber mat (30%) with three different sources of the unsaturated polyester; one taken from a product in the market one from the industrial PET chips and one from recycle PET bottles. The mechanical properties of these polycondensation resins and FRP laminates are compared with those of a commercial UP product. The effect of the incorporation of 2,4-toluenediisocyanate (TDI) on these polyester resins are also investigated.
