• 中文摘要： Sprague-Dawley種系的雌鼠，在性週期中的各期將卵巢切除，然後按一定時距處理雌性素和助孕素，並觀察次日下午血中黃體生成激素濃度的變化；另以正常雌鼠：處理橄欖油或雌性素和助孕素者作為對照。插管手術或處理橄欖油，不影響正常性週期的規律和分泌；但處理雌性素和助孕素後，可促使若干正常鼠引發黃體生成激素的釋放。卵巢初除鼠經雌性素和助孕素處理之後，確能有效地引發黃體生成激素的釋放。結果說明雌性素和助孕素是黃體生成激素潮放的必要物質，其功效則視性週期的時段而定。
• 英文摘要： The effectiveness of estradiol (E) and progesterone (P) in inducing the release of the luteinizinghormone (LH) in the acutely ovariectomized (OVx) rats was studied. Female rats were Ovx in differentstages of the estrous cycles and received a series of injections of E and P· LH dynamic changes in theblood were examined in the afternoon of the following day after Ovx. Intact rats treated with oil vehicleor E and P were used as controls. The surgical operation and oil treatment did not interfere with thenormal reproductive rhythm and LH secretion, but treatment with E and P did facilitate the LH releasein some intact rats. E and P were very effective in inducing LH release in Ovx rats as compared withcontrols. Results indicated that E and P are essential substances in eliciting the LH surge, but their effi-cacies are dependent on the stage in the estrous cycles.
