- 英文摘要: Porous ceramic membranes have much better thermal and pH resistance than those of organic polymeric membranes. Zirconia is one of widely used ceramic membranes. The membranes were prepared from zirconium alkoxide by sol-gel method. The hydrolyzing water was homogeneously released by the esterification of ethanol and acetic acid in ethanol solution. Thus the rate of hydrolysis-condensation could be controlled to prevent the agglomeration of hydrated zirconia. This technique could also apply to large sol-gel processes. After acid peptization, the mean particle size of ZrO/sub 2/ colloid was near 0.02.mu.m measured by laser scattering method. The zirconia was spin-coated on a commercial anodic disk, and dried under the controlled humidity, then calcined to remove organic compounds. TGA/DTA study showed that organic compounds could be completely removed at .sim.535.degree.C. The morphology of membrane was examined by SEM showed that zirconia was uniformly coated on support. The particle diameter was found 0.03-0.05.mu.m observed in SEM micrographs. Membrane thickness was.sim.0.4.mu.m estimated from grazing-angle (incident angle.ltoreq.2.degree.) X-ray interference. The majority of ZrO/sub 2/ phase was amorphous, only a few cubic form was revealed from the grazing-angle XRD pattern. From the Hg intrusion and membrane geometry, the porosities of support and ZrO/sub 2/ membrane were founded 40% and .sim.31%, respectively. Nitrogen permeation was used to determine the mean diameter of effective (continue-network) pores of membrane. The effective pore diameter were estimated.sim.0.04.mu.m.
