- 中文摘要: 本文利用二組觀測於中大測站之脈動資料來探討地磁特低緯之脈動。今觀測出脈動有早晨黃昏不對稱性及極化方向反轉現象。並得出脈動北向分量與東向分量之比值隨當地時間變化之情形。此中,早晨黃昏不對稱性與來自磁層邊界層之速度切不穩定波有關,目前並未有完整的理論能解釋地磁特低緯處極化方向反轉現象。
- 英文摘要: Two different sets of pulsation data observed at the NCU station, Chungli, Taiwan, are used to studyproperties of the geomagnetic very-low-latitude pulsations. Dawn-dusk asymmetry and the polarizationreversal of the pulsations are observed. The ratio of the northward component to the eastward componentof the pulsation as a function of the local time is studied also. It is proposed that the dawn-dusk asymme-try is formed due to the velocity shear instability generated in the magnetospheric boundary layer. Noexisting theories can readily explain the observed reversal of the polarization at geomagnetic very low lati-tudes.
