銀離子對於植物生長和代謝的影響

以硝酸銀代表可溶性的銀化合物,測驗銀對植物生長和代謝作用的效應,結果顯示銀離子在10 M和10 M的濃度下,對大豆及其他作物根、莖、葉的發育均產生不良影響。大豆葉部受到銀毒害後,葉部呈現類似缺乏錳的症狀,即幼葉葉脈間變黃並產生壞死斑點。用銀處理的浮萍,其蛋白質和核糖核酸合成的速率很快地降低。

The silver ion does not inhibit seedgermination; at concentrations of 10 Mand above, it inhibits growth ofroots, stem, and leaves of soybean andother crop plants to varying degrees.The soybean plant, suffered from Ag+toxicity also shows a symptom similarto that a manganese deficiency: inter-venal chlorosis and appearance of ne-crotic spots in young leaves. Azotobacterand Anabaena are far more susceptible,10 M AgNO, being fatal to them. In aduckweed tested, the silver ion reducessynthesis of protein and of ribonucleicacid by as much as 80% before growthinhibition is manifested.
