- 英文摘要: The construction and operating characteristics of a colliding pulse model-locked ring dye laser with in-tracavity prisms for dispersion compensation are investigated. Stable pulses with duration of 45 to 55 fsec (λ=620 nm) can be routinely obtained at a pump power of 3.2 Watt. The evolution of the laser pulse width and central wavelength as a function of intracavity glass length are presented. We also show that the time for building-up steady state femtosecond pulses in a CPM dye laser with compensating prisms is 15 μsec after the pulses have been completely modulated. For a similar laser without the compensating prisms, the build-up time is 40 μsec and exhibits interesting oscillatory behavior in the initial stage.
