- 中文摘要: In this report,the wave theory is applied to a semi-infinite Timoshenko beamresting on an elastic foundation in order to investigate the wave propagation dueto a moving force on the beam. The end of the beam is considered for two cases:(1) simply supported end (2) the end free to translate but not allowed to rotate.Each problem with the corresponding end conditions is then solved by Laplacetransform technique. Transient behavior for small time is investigated particularlyin detail. Numerical computations are then carried out to obtain the velocity dis-tributions behind the moving force and the results are presented in graphs forpractical use.
