- 中文摘要: On studying the physiological and ecological differentiation of rice roots, theexcised seminal roots of Indica type rice cultivar. Taichung Native No. 1 andJaponica type rice cultivar. Taichung No. 65 were selected for aseptic culture. Theincrements of the length, fresh weight, dry weight of the excised roots from TaichungNative No. 1 grown in improved R -type culture medium for about 4 weeks werevery significant than that from Taichung No. 65. As the pH value of cultured media for Taichung Native No. 1 changed from 4.0to more than 7.0 at the end of roots culture, suggesting that the nitrate was utilizedas the nitrogen source by the excised roots. Nitrate reductase activities were detected with NADH method have shown thatthe NR activities were increasing as the enzymic induction time increased from 1to 24 hours. The activity of NR extracted from cultured excised roots was appar-ently higher in Taichung Native No. 1. However, the difference of NR activity onlyis not enough to explain the significant difference of culture behavior between Indicaand Japonica type rice roots. More experiments are necessary for elucidation theseproblems.
