- 中文摘要: 前年研究結果,證實臺灣扁柏褐方型心腐病(抹香腐)菌為Veluticeps Berkeleyi o 該菌形成多年生藷體,每年六月於舊子實層表面,生長一層新子實層。約2-3星期後則開始形成擔胞子。於臺灣中部海拔約1,300公尺地帶,擔胞子之撒佈具有季節性變化而與降雨量有密切之關係。一般而言,七月開始,八月呈最高峰而於十一月完全中止胞子之分散。 擔胞子於蒸餾水中約有60%之發芽率,而在0.1-0.2%葡萄糖液則有90%以上,但葡萄糖液再加Czapek-Dox鹽類溶液時,發芽率反而降低。可知,該菌胞子之感染危險期,介在夏秋內雨量多時。 尋找更多屬於Veluticeps屬之菌種以及檜木以外之V. Berkeleyi之寄主,皆未獲成功。但由人工接種V. Berkeleyi菌絲於各種臺灣產針葉樹材片之結果,獲知,臺灣二葉松及臺灣鐵衫木材之腐朽率反較檜木為高。
- 英文摘要: In the previous study, the causal fungus of brown cubical-rot of Taiwan cypresswas confirmed to be Veluticeps Berkeleyi ( BERK. & CURT.) M. C. COOKE. Theperennial fungus forms new hymenium layer over the old hymenial surface in Juneand start to discharge basidiospores 2-3 weeks later at the altitude of 1,300 m inthe central part of Taiwan. Survey of seasonal spore discharge discovered thatseasonal change of spore dispersal was closely related to the rain; reached to thepeak in August, and ceased completely in November. Basidiospores germinatedabout 60% in the distilled water, more than 90% in .1-.2% glucose solution. Additionof Czapek-Dox salt solution on glucose solution slightly inhibited the germination.It is suggested that the danger period of infection by basidiospores of V. Berkeleyion Chamaecyparis forest, therefore, would be the active growth season of host treesduring summer and fall when the heavy rain fall promotes spore discharge andtheir germination. The attemps to discover more species of Veluticeps native toTaiwan and more host tree species of V. Berkedeyi in coniferous forest were notsuccessful. The artificial inoculating test of V. Berkeleyi mycelium on many coniferouswood blocks revealed that Taiwan red pine and Taiwan hemlock were more susce-ptible to decay than Taiwan cypress in uitro.
