- 中文摘要: The influence of the pH on the constituents of the gummy substance, precipitated by addition of ethanol, was investigeted. Paper chromatography was applied for the identification of the carbohydrates in the hydrolyzate of the gummy substance, and the presence of arabinose, galactose, xylose, and uronic acid was confirmed. The identification of amino acids was brought about by paper chromatography. The hydrolyzate gave eighteen spots and ten of them were identified as glutamic acid, cysteine, glycine, lysine, histidine, arginine, alanine, valine, leucine and aspartic acid.
