- 英文摘要: This study examines the morphology of particle dendrites formed on single fibers placed at right angles to an aerosol stream and an externally applied electric field. The results show that the deposits on fibers placed in an electric field tend to be in the form of straight chains. In contrast, the deposits formed in the absence of an electric field tend to take the shape of irregular branches and bends. Dendrites of straight chains act as long arms extending far above the fiber surfaces, thereby increasing the collection efficiency of the fiber more effectively than dendrites of irregular branches and bends do.
