- 英文摘要: Methyl methacrylate (MMA) showed a characteristic nucleation behavior in emulsion polymeriza-tion. The nucleation of new particles occurred overwhelmingly at some conversions. The vigorousfluctuations in average particle size as well as particle number during emulsion polymerization showedthe existence of a deaggregation-aggregation process. It is proposed that some of the PMMA moleculesformed in the water phase may be present at the interface between the particles and the water phase, andmay induce reversible flocculation.
