- 英文摘要: conclude that selective dysfunction of respiratory en-zyme Complexes I and IV in the mitochondrial respirato-ry chain at the RVLM, whose neuronal activity is inti-mately related to the death process, is closely associatedwith fatal endotoxemia in the rat.We investigated the functional changes in the mitochon-drial respiratory chain at the rostral ventrolateral medul-la (RVLM), the medullary origin of sympathetic vasomo-tor tone, in an experimental model of endotoxemia thatmimics systemic inflammatory response syndrome. InSprague-Dawley rats maintained under propofol anes-thesia, intravenous administration of Escherichia colilipopolysaccharide (LPS; 30 mg/kg) induced a reduction(Phase I), followed by an augmentation (Phase II) and asecondary decrease (Phase III) in the power density ofvasomotor components (0-0.8 Hz) in systemic arterialpressure signals. LPS also elicited progressive hypoten-sion, and death ensued within 4 h. Enzyme assay re-vealed significant depression of the activity of nicotin-amide adenine dinucleotide cytochrome c reductase(Complexes I+III) and cytochrome c oxidase (ComplexIV) in the RVLM during all three phases of endotoxemia. On the other hand, the activity of succinate cytochrome creductase (Complexes II+III) remained unaltered.
