活性污泥之膠羽特性及微生物相與沈降性之關係

本研究採用一污水處理廠曝氣槽之活性污泥,利用顯微鏡觀察法,配合化學測定法,找尋活性污泥膠羽特性及微生物相與其沉降性的關係。結果顯示膠羽大小及形狀結構對污泥沉降性皆有影響,而污泥鬆化(Bulking)現象,是由Sphaerotilus natans 造成的,SVI值與微生物相中之輪蟲(Rotifer)、線蟲(Nematodes)及 Zoogloea 有關,但與有機纖維、螺旋體、螺旋菌、膠羽組成細菌種類等無關,此外,無法由原生動物的種類來判定污泥的好壞。

The activated sludge from the aerationtank in a sewage treatment plant wasinvestigated microscopically and chemicallywith special regard to finding the relationshipbetween the quality of flocs as well asorganisms in flocs and sludge settlingcharacteristics. It was found that the settleability wereaffected by size, shape and structure of theflocs. The sludge which had bad settlingcharacteristics was caused by a massivegrowth of filamentous microorganism whichwas identified as Sphaerotilus natans. Thesettling properties are influenced by thepresence of Rotifer, Nematode, and Zoogloea,but no proper correlation between SVI andthe presence of organic fibers, Spirochetes,Spirils as wells as diversity were observed.The use of Protozoa as indicator organismsin the assessment of the condition of thesludge is not possible in this investigation.
