- 中文摘要: This study examines the accuracy of the multiple interacting continua (MINC) model. A regularly shaped rock block with uniform initial conditions and a step change in boundary conditions on the surface is evaluated. The analysis results show that pressures (or temperatures) predicted by MINC approximation may deviate from exact solutions by as much as 10 .15% at certain points within the blocks. However, when fluid (or heat) flow rates are integrated over the entire block surface, the MINC approximation and exact solution agree well, deviating by less than 1% at all points. This finding indicates that MINC approximation can accurately represent the transient inter-porosity flow in fractured porous media when the matrix blocks are indeed continuously subjected to nearly uniform boundary conditions.
