• 中文摘要： 精子活動力的估量一直是一件困難的事，主要在於其所使用的方法較主觀，尤其當只有顯微鏡一種工具可用時，更是困難。光譜儀是比較客觀的方法，但其基本前題卻不適用於大多數的精子。本研究已發展出使用光學顯微鏡來估量精子活動力的方法，此法簡單、迅速，不需複雜的儀器便可進行，而且可使用在所有具有游泳能力的精子上。本實驗由此發現，鯉魚精子有逆向離心力運動的現象，且其游泳能力與扭曲能力無關。
• 英文摘要： Quantitative evaluation of sperm motility has been difficult mainly because subjective methods are used, especially when microscopy is the only available tool. Spectrophotometry represents an objective method involving assumptions that may not be applicable to most sperms. Using photomicroscopic techniques, a simplified method has been developed to evaluate sperm motility. The advantages of this method are simple, rapid, quantitative and the method involves no complicated instrument. This method can be used for all sperm that have swimming capacity. It was found that carp sperm worked against centrifugal force field and their swimming ability had no correlation with their ability to twitch.
