- 英文摘要: The dissolution kinetics of iron in citric acid solutions has been investigated by potentiostatic polarization. The dissolution rate of iron increased with an increase of citric acid and is proportional to.lbrak.H/sup +/.rbrak./sup -0.5/ (theoretical reaction order being -0.6). An anodic Tafel slope of approximately 130mV/decade was observed, but theoretical Tafel slope was 150mV/decade. The rate equation can be developed theoretically by a mechanism which involves two single-electron-transfer steps with Temkin isothermal adsorption and the equation deduced is as follows: i/sub a/=2Fk.theta.C/sub H+//sup -0.6/ exp(0.4FE/RT) where .theta. is surface coverage of Fe(Cit)/sub ads//sup 2-/, and k is combined rate constant. The experimental data can fit this theoretical model finally well.
