- 中文摘要: 技術變動可由因素投入數量變動所引起,亦可由因素投入品質變動所產生;前者稱為非體現型技術變動(disembodied technological change),而後者稱為體現型技術變動(embod-ied technological change)。本研究主要探討農業資本投入品質變動對技術變動的影響,亦即是體現型技術變動的研究。 本文所指的技術變動是以成本函數表示的平均成本下降率來表示,蓋在固定規模報酬與完全競爭的假設下,平均成本下降率可視為總因素生產力成長或技術變動。在研究上,本文嘗試併合受限的年份成本函數與因素擴張的超越成本函數,以反覆推估法估計台灣農業非體現型與體現型技術變動率。由民國52年至82年間,整體農業技術變動率為3.52%,其中非體現型技術變動率平均為2.25%(包括因素價格誘發為1.64%,而存貨誘發為0.61%),體現型技術變動率為1.27%。而體現型技術變動對總技術變動率的貢獻為36.05%。
- 英文摘要: Technological change will be occurred by two ways: one is the change of factor input in quantity, andthe other is the change of factor input in quality. This paper will focus on technological change which causedby the change of factor input in quality: this is called embodied technological change. Based on the cost diminution rate is related to the multifactor productivity growth and/or technologicalchange under the assumptions of constant returns to scale and perfect competition, the cost function approachis used for measuring the technological change in this paper. Incorporating the restricted capital vintage costfunction and factor augmenting translog function by using the iterative procedures in order to estimate thedisembodied and embodies technological change in Taiwanese agriculture. The empirical results show thatan average, the total rate of technological change in agriculture was 3.52%, in which the disembodiedtechnological change was 2.25% and embodied technological change was 1.27%, respectively, during theperiod from 1963 to 1993. The relative importance of embodied technological change to total technologicalchange in agriculture was 36.05% for the same period.
