- 中文摘要: This study aimed to investigate the development of ethnic identity among Amis children living in Taipei, Taiwan. A clinical interview with tools and an inventory for investigating ethnic identity and attitude were developed specifically for the study. These instruments were administrated to monitor the development of ethnic identity of the children whose age was 4, 5, 7, 9 or 11 years old. Thus, the study was a developmental research of cross-sectional approach in nature. The main findings of the study were: 1. Children in the age of 4-5 and 7-9-11 had quite different behaviors. In each group, children performed rather similar behaviors. 2. Along with their age getting older, Amis children's ethnic awareness, and ethnic differentiation are scored higher. 3. Amis children's ethnic awareness, ethnic differentiation and direct ethnic self-identification were scored higher than Han's was. 4. Amis children's ethnic images toward Han children were more positive than those toward Amis children. However, Han's children were the least choice as playmate for Amis children. 5. Most Amis children held affirmatory identity toward their own ethnic group. However, about 10-14% Amis children were in an ethnic identity diffusion situation. 6. Most Amis children valued their ethnic culture, but only 12% of Amis children often spoke Amis language in their family. There were rather proportion of Amis children were not familiar with their ethnic culture.
- 英文摘要: 本研究對台北市阿美族兒童的族群認同情形,進行橫斷取向的發展性研究。選取不同年 齡層,包括幼稚園中班(4足歲)、大班(5足歲)、國小二年級(7足歲)、四年級(9足歲)和六年級(11足歲)的台北市阿美族兒童為研究對象,以半結構訪談法和問卷調查法, 探討其族群認同發展的情形。並同時隨機抽取該阿美族兒童就讀班級中的漢人兒童,進行相同的半結構訪談及探討,以進行阿美族和漢族兒童的對照比較。研究結果獲致以下結論:1. 就所選取的樣本來看,台北市阿美族兒童的族群認同發展,約可分成4、5歲和7、9、 11歲兩個年齡階段。 2. 隨著年齡增長,阿美族兒童對於族群的知覺愈敏銳,愈能正確辨識自己的族群歸屬。 3. 阿美族兒童的族群知覺和族群辨識得分比漢族兒童高。阿美族兒童對阿美族的直接族群身分認同,顯著高於漢族兒童對阿美族的直接族群身分認同。 4. 阿美族兒童對漢族的意象比對阿美族的意象來得積極,但是,在選玩伴時,阿美族兒童最不願選擇漢族兒童。 5. 大多數的阿美族兒童堅定地認同其本族。然而估計約有10-14%的阿美族兒童可能有族群認同迷失的情形。 6. 大多數阿美族兒童珍惜本族文化的延續,但是,只有12%的阿美族兒童在家庭生活中「常 常」使用阿美族母語交談。顯示相當比例的台北市阿美族兒童與其本族文化有隔閡。
