- 英文摘要: The active transport of relatively small molecules across the membrane separating a biological cell's interior from its exterior is rendered possible only through the intervention of a protein complex which reveals itself through various structures. In the present work, the distribution of molecules among these structures of this protein complex has been calculated analytically based on a Markovian model. In this model, the protein complex is regarded as the system, and its structural change as a transition of the system. The results have been verified through the Monte Carlo simulation. Moreover, the fluxes of the small molecules across the cell's membrane have been evaluated by assuming that the concentrations of the small molecules both outside and inside the cell are much higher than the concentration of the protein complex. It has been demonstrated that if the transition intensities are constant, the active transport will eventually approach a stationary state. Thus, the fluxes of the small molecules will remain invariant after the stationary state is reached.
