• 英文摘要： A seven-year old girl with Down's syndrome resulting from a (21q22q) Robertsonian translocation is identified. Her father is karyotypically normal but both her mother and younger brother are 'carriers'. This is the first report of a Chinese family in Taiwan showing transmission and segregation of a (21q22q) translocated chromosome. Both theoretical and practical significance of this finding were discussed.
