- 英文摘要: Fresh-frozen plasma (FFP) was evaluated for gelatinolyt-ic and fibrinolytic activity. Gelatin zymography revealedthat gelatinase A (MMP-2) was constitutively present inFFP whereas gelatinase B (MMP-9) was present at vari-able levels. The presence of MMP-9 likely represents dif-ferential release from neutrophils during FFP collectionor processing. Although fibrin matrices generated fromFFP or freshly prepared plasma contained characteristiccrosslinked γ-γ dimers and β-monomers, matrices gener-ated from FFP were resistant to spontaneous plasmin-dependent fibrinolysis. This observation likely stemsfrom the plasminogen activator instability and couldpotentially lead to a hypofibrinolytic state. The impact ofthese in vitro findings to protease balance in patientsreceiving multiple FFP doses remains to be determined.
