稻殼粒片板製造之研究

稻殼利用之研究,由來已久,而目前國內外仍然積極試驗。其中對於稻殼粒片板之製造試驗,亦相當熱衷。 本研究以蓬萊及在來稻殼為實驗原料,經不同機械處理後,在比重、用膠量、膠合劑種類及混合木材粒片等相異之條件下,製造稻殼粒片板;且變化板之結構及貼木材薄片,以觀測其對稻殼粒片板性質的影響,而尋求合理的生產處方。由試驗結果得知,稻殼粒片板之理學性質良好,唯力學性質較差;但稻殼經過機械處理及均勻混合適量木材粒片,而後僅在一般條件下製造稻殼粒片板,則可改善其力學性質;又採用木材粒片物為表層材料,而製三層稻殼粒片板或貼以木材薄片於表面,更能提高該稻殼粒片板之抗彎強度。 至於以化學方法處理稻殼而製粒片板,及以本省現有工廠之設備,而製造稻殼粒片板的可行性,則尚待試驗研究。

Utilization of rice hull has been studied fora long period of time, and now more intensivelyin Taiwan. In this studies the rice hull of Japonica andIndica species were used as raw materials. Afterdifferent mechanical treatments, the particleboardwas made under various conditions in density,glue level, glue kinds and mixinig with woodparticles, also under various conditions structureof board and laminate with wood veneer.Then the properties of that particleboardswere tested and the reasonable prescription forproduction was recommended. From the experimental results, particleboardsfrom rice hull showed better physical propertiesand lower mechanical properties. But whenthe rice hull was treated by mechanical method,or mixed with wood particles, the particleboardcould be made under normal condition and itsmechanical properties were improved. The bend-ing strength could be improved when the ricehull particleboard was made into 3-ply, woodparticles or wood veneer as its surface. In making particleboard from treated ricehull by chemical method and with local plant bycommercial scale, it is pending for another study.
