- 英文摘要: The kinetics of alkylation of isobutyraldehyde with benzyl chloride in the presence of 30 weight percent sodium hydroxide aqueous solution was studied by using tetrabutylammonium iodide as the phase transfer catalyst. The main product was identified to be 2,2-dimethyl-3-phenyl- n-propylaldehyde(DMPPA) by silver mirror test, I.R., G.C./ M.S., and FTNMR spectra. Partition equilibrium measurements at 343K showed that tetrabutylammonium iodide is preferentially present in the organic phase and the ratio of concentration of tetrabutylammonium cation in organic phase to that in aqueous phase increases as the concentration of sodium hydroxide in aqueous increases from 0 to 30 weight percent. The formation rate of DMPPA may be expressed as: R/ sub DMPPA/=K/sup 0//sub app/ x C/sup 2/3//sub TBAI/ x C/sub BC/. The apparent rate constants and fractional yields of DMPPA at different conditions were studied. Finally, we proposed a mechanism to explain the experimental results.
