- 英文摘要: Inhibin, activin, and transforming growth factor β(TGFβ) inhibited lipopoly- saccharide (LPS)-induced lymphocyte proliferation in a dose-dependent fash- ion. These induced suppressions were neutralized by coincubation of a prepa- ration of antibodies to inhibin and TGFβ, respectively. Inhibin and activin also facilitated TGFβ-mediated immunosuppression of LPS-induced prolifer- ation of splenocytes. These gonadal proteins showed no effect on phytohemag- glutinin- or concanavalin A (Con-A)-induced proliferation of lymphocytes. However, inhibin facilitated and activin inhibited the TGFβ-mediated immu- nosuppression in thymocytes stimulated by Con-A. These findings suggest that inhibin or activin by itself, and/or together with TGFβ, may play an important role in immune response.
