Organometallic compounds were used to bond fillers to epoxy resin for improving the mechanical properties of cured epoxy resin. In this report we studied the effects on cross-linking behavior, viscoelastic property, impact strength and heat resistance of networks as well as the interaction with fillers in the composite system. Many varieties of organometallic compounds effecting both viscoelastic property and cross-linking behavior on epoxy-phenolic resin composite was observed. The absorption of organometallic compounds by fillers played an important role in catalyzing epoxy-phenolic resin cross-linking.
In some composites, the bonding between polymer matrix and fillers was plausible. This affords a new method of coupling polymer matrix and filler. The organometallic compounds catalyzed the heat decomposition. - 中文關鍵字: --
