的耐鹽植株較在正常土壤中生長的甘蔗吸收較多的氯及鈉離子。雖然該等離子有毒性,但不影響其正常生長,顯示用本
方法選出的甘蔗已具有適應重鹽土的能力,也是一個用組織培養方法能選出耐鹽甘蔗的實際例證。 - 英文摘要: The differentiated shoot-buds of sugarcane (Saccharum sp. hybrid) cv. F177 were subjected to pre-selection on 1.17%-NaCl medium. The survived shoots were laid down on MS medium with either 0.94% or1.17% NaCl. Callus mass was re-produced at the base of the survived shoots and concomitantly some of thecalli re-differentiated into shoots. The 0.94%-NaCl-selected callus was twice lower while the 1.17%-NaCl-selected callus was thrice lower in water potential than the normal callus. The NaCl-pre-selected callus gavehigher differentiation rate (40%) than the non-pre-selected callus (21.5%). The NaCl-tolerant shoots weregrown to a certain height and then transplanted into soil with salt strength in 10 millimhos/cm of electricconductivity. After three months growth, the NaCl-selected plant was found to accumulate more Na andCl ions than the normal plant without affecting its growth vigor. All these characteristics indicate that byusing this differentiated shoot-explant method, a salt-sensitive sugarcane plant can be shifted to a halophy-tic mode of salt tolerance.
