- 英文摘要: This study presents the mathematical analysis and computer simulation results of heat transfer during solidification in the continuous casting process. Through this work, an effective model for simulating such process is established. The effects of the operating conditions, for example, the casting speed and the cooling water density, on the performance of the casting process are also studied. Finite difference numerical method is used to solve the two- dimensional heat transfer equation with moving boundary. Surface temperatures of blooms are calculated and good agreement with experimentally measured data is obtained. Simulation results of the surface temperature profile, the thickness of the solid shell and the effects of the different operating conditions are presented.
