- 中文摘要: An investigation has been made of the permeation and desorption ofmixed solute in partially formalized polyvinl alcohol membranes to obtaintheir permeability and separation factor. Several membranes of differentdegrees of shrinkages were studied in conjunction with several solutionsof different salts. The results of single solute permeation studies show that the perme-ability of a given membrane to various salt is in the order NaCI>>>>>. The experimental separation factors formixed solute systems are generally smaller than those calculated from thepermeability ratio. The total flux and permeability of the two-solute systmcan be predicted by a simple additivity expression involving mole fractionand permeability for the single solute systems at the same total concentra-tion. Values of diffusion coefficient were estimated from the experimentallyobtained permeation and desorption data. The results demonstrate that,under the concentration range and the nature of membrane studied, thediffusion of salt in PVF membranes follows Fick's mechanism of constantdiffusion coefficient. The effect of the interaction of two salts on diffusioncoefficient is not significant.
