純粹氣體N2對鋼料的高溫物理化學反應

為要除去國產瓶裝 N 氣體中所含的痕跡 O ,本實驗採用高溫的銅屑來純化。其次為了研究國產瓶裝 N 氣體之除氧效果,本實驗利用高溫氧氣濃淡電池來側定純化後的 N 氣體中之O 分壓,以研究其純化效果。並將純鐵及各種碳鋼置於純化 N 氣體中加熱,以研究 N 對鋼料的高溫物理化學反應,例如氧化、脫碳等影響。所得結果如下: 1. N 氣體以一定流速 (10 cm/min)通過銅屑時,若銅屑的溫度650 C則其純化效果最佳。 2. N 氣體通過一定溫度 (650 C) 之銅屑時,流速愈慢,其純化效果愈佳。 3.經高溫銅屑純化後的 N 氣體中所含的 O 之最低分壓可降至 10 atm 程度。 4.在一定條件下實施 N 氣體的純化時,隨著純化時問增加,銅屑的純化效果降低,而純化後的 N 氣體中之O 量逐漸增加。 5.純化後的 N 氣體對純鐵會發生氧化作用,而對碳鋼會發生脫碳作用。由顯微鏡組織觀察可知低碳鋼、中碳鋼有較明顯的脫碳層,但是高碳鋼看不出脫碳層。

In order to study the effect of removing atrace of oxygen contained in the bottle nitrogengas, we used copper-chips at different tempera-tures. In this experiment we used the hightemperature oxygen concentration cell todetermine the oxygen partial pressure in thepurified nitrogen and observed its effect ofpurification. Then we heated pure iron andcarbon steels in the purified nitrogen and studiedthe physico-chemical reactions between steelsand nitrogen at high temperatures such asoxidation and decarburization. The resultswere as follows: (1) When the nitrogen in bottle was sentin a constant flow rate (10 cm/min) throughcopper-chips at high temperatures, the bestcondition of purification temperature of copper-chips was 650 C. (2) When the bottle nitrogen was sent invarious flow rates through the copper-chips atconstant temperature (650 C), the slower thegas flow rate, the better the effect of gaspurification. (3) The partial pressure of oxygen in thepurified nitrogen may be reduced to the orderof 10 atm after purifying by copper-chips athigh temperatures. (4) When the bottle nitrogen was purifiedat various gas flow rates and chips temperatures,the longer the time of copper-chips was used,the more the amount of oxygen remained in thepurified nitrogen. (5) When the samples were heated in thepurified nitrogen, the pure iron oxidized andcarbon steels decarburized. The carbon steelshad clear decarburizing layers except highcarbon steels.
