- 英文摘要: The kinetics of the reduction of chromium(VI) by nitrous acid was studied spectrophotome-trically using solutions with absorbance values at 440 nm of unit ionic strength. The initial rate of disappearance of chromium(VI) obeys the rate equation: -d(Cr(Vl)/dt = (k0 +k1(H+)(HNO2) (CrO3ONO-) The values of the rate constant k0 at 15.0, 25.0, and 35.0°C are (2.51 ±0.04) × 10-2, (5.64±0.11)× 10-2, and (7.85±0.44)Xl0-3M-1sec-1, respectively. The enthalpy and entropy of activation of the k0 path at 25.0°C are 9.5±2.3 kcal/mole and —32.7±7.5 e. u., respectively. The values of the rate constant k1 at 15.0, 25.0, and 35.0°C are 0.039±0.006, 0.159±0.016, 0.51 ±0.06 M2 sec-1, respectively. The enthalpy and entropy of activation of the k1 path at 25.0°C are 22.0±0.7 kcal/mole and 11.5±2.2 e. u., respectively. The values of the concentration equilibrium constant K at 15.0, 25.0, and 35.0°C of the reaction CrO,ONO-+H20=HCr04-+HN02 are 0.0145, 0.0139, and 0.0092 M, respectively.
